Toggle wings are designed to be used in hollow wall construction projects where the materials are wallboard or gypsum. The winged design allows the weight bearing area to be expanded to accommodate larger areas of weight and pressure. To install, you pushed the toggle wing into a drilled hole and then pull back to tighten the anchor, creating a solid bond and secure connection.
